This is a great looking, vintage brass repousse tinder storage fireplace box. It is 17" wide, 12 1/4" high and 11" deep (front to back). The front and top have heavily embossed, 3 masted sailing ships. The sides are a random pebble pattern. It is a wooden box with the brass panels covering the top, front and two sides. It has a metal liner box with side handles to store the kindling in. You take the metal box out to the wood pile. There are two wooden runners on the bottom to give it air space to keep dry. The front corners are darkened.
